Wendy works in mixed media and teaches students about the connection between butterflies and plants. She uses a variety of materials, such as stamps, acrylic, and sponges and she teaches about wash, splatter, and symmetry.
Her students will develop their positive and negative space skills by creating a collaborative meadow using various materials. They will cut and paint their own butterfly and flower parts, then assemble them with glue. They will use the leftover paper to create a large mural.
They will learn about the various techniques and subjects they have studied in order to create their own habitats, bugs, and flowers.
